UNI Charity is deeply grateful to share the a brave 3-year-old born with a serious heart condition.
Doctors discovered that Shivanshi had a hole in her heart—a condition that required urgent surgical intervention. Her parents initially sought care at Tanda Hospital in Himachal Pradesh and were later referred to PGI Chandigarh. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, they faced repeated delays and were unable to get the timely treatment their daughter so desperately needed.
Thankfully, Mr. Kamlesh Kamlesh Thakur (referred by Mr. Parveen Himachali Pahadi Gupsup) reached out to UNI Charity for help. Within less than a month of connecting with us, Shivanshi underwent a successful surgery. Just three months later, with regular follow-ups and care, she made a full recovery and is now thriving—happy, active, and back to being a playful little girl.
Her mother, Sudarshana Devi, expressed heartfelt gratitude to UNI Charity for fully funding the treatment process, including medical care, travel, and accommodation. She shared her joy in a Facebook Live session with Mr. Praveen from Himachali Pahadi Gupsup where she described how her once-sick child is now full of life, running around the house with her mischievous smile.
Shivanshi holds a special place in our hearts—she was discharged from the hospital on January 1st, 2025, becoming the very first child to be treated by UNI Charity in the new year. Her recovery was the most heartwarming New Year’s gift we could ask for.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Child Heart Foundation and Mr. Kamlesh for their swift and compassionate support in making this recovery possible.
