Parent’s sole joy, the apple of their eyes, despite being born with Down syndrome. Her presence illuminated their home with boundless love and joy. As Bhumika grew, her parents noticed signs of her condition manifesting in various health challenges. Recurrent pneumonia, fainting episodes, stunted growth, and rapid breathing became worrisome indicators of her struggles.

Concerned for their beloved daughter's well-being, her parent’s sought medical advice from their local doctor. Upon examination, the doctor recommended an echocardiogram (echo) to delve deeper into Bhumika's health issues. The echo results revealed a daunting diagnosis: Bhumika was suffering from Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), a complex congenital heart defect. This revelation plunged the family into turmoil, compounded by the staggering cost of TOF repair treatment, a daunting 5000 dollars.

Determined to find a solution, through help of Rotary, parents got connected with UNI Charity founder Amiyata Kalia, who partnered with CHF. Under the compassionate care of CHF and with the support of UNI Charity, Bhumika was successfully treated.
